We were so worn out by Finn asking us 24918 times a day when we were going to Singapore that I was considering a reversible tracheotomy for him. And then Nanny S came up with a brilliant idea. She folded 15 little origami paper planes (I got these from the Paris store Djeco which our local kids shop stocks), and blutacked them up on the chalkboard in the family room along with a daily countdown.
Every day Finn is allowed to take one down and fly it all the way to his bedroom, where he’s tucked into bed. Now if only we had a brilliant plan for actually getting him to sleep through those 15 sleeps as well….
